The province says that now that the spring weather has arrived, clean-up efforts from Hurricane Fiona will ramp up again.
Crews have about 450 properties remaining from the 6,100 applications that were received for assistance with private property cleanup due to health and safety risks. Those properties will be cleaned up this spring and potentially into the summer.
Beginning soon, the province will offer curbside pick-up of large debris such as tree branches. It will run until June 30th.Sixteen private disposal pits are open for residents to bring Fiona debris free of charge. You can also take Fiona debris to any of the IWMC Waste Watch drop-off centres for a standard fee.
