Former High School Teacher & Coach Paul Steele Passes Away

A prominent high school teacher who was involved in many sports as a coach and led soccer teams to national championship events has passed away at age 67. Paul Steele, born in Summerside, died on Friday in Charlottetown. He taught at Charlottetown Rural, Colonel Gray, Bluefield, Birchwood and St. Jean Elementary for 33 years. He coached the UPEI women’s soccer Panthers between 1990 and 1993.  There will be no visiting hours or funeral by request.
