There was a fatal collision in Charlottetown on Sunday night that also involved numerous injuries.
Charlottetown Police, Charlottetown Fire and Island EMS all responded to a two vehicle collision at about 9:15pm on Riverside Drive near the Pioneer Avenue exit. Charlottetown Police say that one person died at the scene, while two adults and five children from the other vehicle were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Charlottetown Police closed off a portion of Riverside Drive between Murchison Lane and St Peters Rd., for about 4 to 5 hours as they conducted their on-scene investigation with the assistance of a collision reconstructionist. Charlottetown Police expect to release more details later on Monday as the investigation continues.
