Former Borden-Carleton Mayor Fred Leard passed away on Wednesday at age 82. He was involved in the community most of his life and was also the town administrator in Borden and was a member of the Borden Fire Department. He served as Mayor until 2012. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Marjorie and his family that included four children. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday morning at 11.00 at the Bedeque United Church. It will also be streamed on the Davison Funeral Home website.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from 3-5 p.m.
