Health officials reported one new COVID-19 death in PEI on Tuesday. The latest death is the 14th COVID-19 related death in PEWI in 2023, and the 96th since the pandemic hit. Tuesday’s weekly COVID-19 case data shows that during the week of March 19th to 25th, there were 122 new cases of COVID-19 on PEI – a slight increase from 117 the week before. Four people were in hospital with COVID-19, which is down from 8 the previous week. Over the week, the province conducted an average of 92 COVID-19 tests per day, and 19 per cent of those tests came back positive.
