The leader of the PEI Green party says that if he is elected premier, he would lower the voting age and legislate proportional representation for future elections.
Peter Bevan-Baker says he would make changes aimed at giving Islanders a greater say in future elections.
The Greens say his party would establish a citizen’s assembly to work on establishing a model for proportional representation and allow permanent residents to vote in municipal and school board elections.
The promises come as the provincial campaign reaches its halfway point, with the election coming up on April 3rd.
