The bill creating an independent Children and Youth Advocate Office in PEI has passed second and third reading.
The office will work to protect and promote the rights of children and youth on PEI, and advocate on their behalf regarding services that fall under the legislation.
The Child and Youth Advocate Act passed in the Legislature Wednesday with unanimous support from all parties.
