Estimates for the insured damage in Atlantic Canada caused by Hurricane Dorian have been pegged at 105-million dollars. PEI saw damages over $17-million from the storm.
The Insurance Bureau of Canada says 70 per cent was for damage to personal property, 25 per cent for damage to commercial property and the rest was for damage to automobiles.
Hardest hit was Nova Scotia, with an estimated 62.2-million dollars in insured damage, followed by New Brunswick at 22.5-million, P-E-I at 17.5-million and Newfoundland and Labrador at 2.5-million.
