There will be some traffic restrictions in Charlottetown for Canada Day.
Capital City celebrations begin at noon in Victoria Park with the fireworks show to highlight the day from the Victoria Park Boardwalk behind the cannons at about 10.00.
Victoria Park Roadway is closed to all traffic except for event and emergency vehicles from 1.00 this afternoon until about 11.00 tonight.
The cycling lane will also be closed.
The Victoria Park Driveway from the park roadway to the tennis courts will also be closed during the day.
The Brighton Road entrance and parking lot next to Memorial Field and the City Diamond will close at 9 this morning to the general public until the event is complete.
A valid parking permit, licence plate or ID will be required for others.
You can park in the government parking lot but don’t park in other areas close to Victoria Park.
A solar pedal bus shuttle bus will be offered at $2 a person to and from the parking lot.
CANADA DAY ACROSS PEI
