The Cornwall bypass highway project is under budget and on schedule according to Stephen Yeo, the chief engineer with the PEI Department of Transportation.
Yeo says the the project should be complete by sometime in mid-October.
The major project was originally expected to cost $65-million under the former Liberal government but the estimated cost now will be between 58 or 59 million.
The New Haven overpass is the latest phase along with a steel arch that will be constructed near the Baltic Road.
Both of those projects will be complete in the next week to ten days.
