Issue of carbon pricing raised in Legislature

The issue of carbon pricing was raised in the legislature Thursday during question period.
Opposition Finance Critic Darlene Compton wanted to know why revenue from carbon pricing was not included in the 2017-18 budget tabled earlier this month.

Ottawa's given the provinces until January 1, 2018 to implement carbon pricing, so Compton says it should be included in this year's budget. She was also looking for answers on the maclauchlan Government's plans regarding carbon pricing.
Finance Minister Allen Roach responded by saying they don't want to rush the process -- they want to see what other provinces do before deciding on a plan.
He emphasized that they're not sitting doing nothing, that they're exploring options and trying to determine what works best for PEI.
